How Sage & Soul Came to Be
The Sage & Soul Collective wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from a life that unraveled and the strength it took to rebuild it.
For 17 years, Jody worked in healthcare, pushing, striving, and climbing her way from the bottom to the top. She built a career, created stability, and did what so many of us are taught to do: keep going, keep achieving, keep proving. Until one day, it was all gone. Everything she had worked for was pulled out from underneath her.
So she started over.
From the bottom again, she rebuilt her life, step by step. In the middle of that rebuilding, she purchased a salon and spa, believing that was the path to something more meaningful. Her vision was to transform it into a space of connection, into a wellness centered environment that offered more than just services, something deeper, something more human.
But that path did not fully align.
At the same time, Jody was navigating something far more personal. An eight year toxic and abusive relationship that slowly disconnected her from herself. It took immense courage to walk away, to choose herself, and to begin again in a completely different way.
And in truth, the seeds of Sage & Soul had already been planted.
For the past seven years, Jody has been on a deeply personal journey of healing and self discovery. Through yoga, retreats, and immersive experiences around the world including Bali, Italy, Costa Rica, Canada, Joshua Tree, Florida, and throughout Michigan, she sought something she could not quite name at the time, but deeply needed.
She explored breathwork, meditation, sound healing, natural medicines, and sat with incredible teachers and leaders who helped her see herself more clearly. Through these experiences, she did not just learn practices, she learned herself.
She learned that healing is not linear.
That strength is not found in pushing harder, but in softening.
That real connection can change everything.
And perhaps most importantly, she realized that the spaces she was searching for, spaces that felt real, supportive, deeply human, and rooted in authentic connection, were rare.
So she created one.
The Sage & Soul Collective is the result of everything she has lived through: the loss, the rebuilding, the searching, the healing, and the choosing of herself, again and again.
It is a space designed for women to pause. To reflect. To reconnect with who they are beneath the noise of everyday life. To be supported in community, not judged. To feel seen, not fixed.
This is not about perfection.
It is about honesty.
It is about coming back to yourself.
We invite you to step into that space with us and find your way home.
